How to Help
So, you want to help? Here are some ways to do just that!
1. Make a tshirt tote.
It’s that simple! Just by using one less plastic bag you’re helping the environment.
2. Give out tshirt totes.
They’re cheap to make and give away. Make a bunch to give to friends and family, or hand them out at the mall.
3. Spread the word.
Tell someone about tshirt totes and this website. Do you have a blog? Maybe you could mention this site, our mission, or even just your experience with tshirt totes.
4. Advocate
Does your local school have a home economics program? Make tshirt totes part of the curriculum. Does your local supermarket have a plastic bag recycling program? If there isn’t one, ask about it, and if there is, make sure people know about it.
5. Have a tshirt drive.
Collect old, unwanted tshirts for future use as reusable bags. You can find a sample flier here.

I met you today at the State Fair. I just would like to say that this is an excellent idea! My sorority will be making plenty of these and handing them out. Hopefully we will be able to spread the word throughout our campus and community. We will send you pictures of our totes! I had a great time talking with you today and wish you the best of luck with this project!
